The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and the Dorna WSBK Organisation (DWO) have revealed the provisional list of female riders registered for the first edition of the FIM Women’s Motorcycling World Championship.

The FIM Women’s Motorcycling World Championship, with six rounds in 2024, is a one-make series exclusively for women who will ride the Yamaha R7.

There will be 24 female riders, selected from 44 entries, who will compete in the six rounds of the world championship. The anticipation to see them on the track is high and the provisional list already gives us some indication of the possible challengers for the title.
The most represented country will be Spain with 5 riders: champion Ana Carrasco, Beatriz Neila Santos, Sara Sanchez Tamayo, Francisca Ruiz Vidal and Andrea Sibaja Moreno.
The only Italian to take to the track will be Roberta Ponziani, fresh winner of the first edition of the women’s CIV 2023.

The name of Ana Carrasco stands out, who on 12 February 2024 in her Facebook profile wrote:
“I am pleased to announce that this year I will be participating in the WorldWCR Championship with Evan Bros. Racing Team!
FIM – Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme and Dorna are strongly committed to this championship and I believe it is my duty to be part of this new adventure at least in this first year. In this first edition, we will be an example for many girls all over the world.”
