Women of the Dakar 2024: only two in the motorbike category

The 46th edition of the Dakar Rally will take place for the fifth time entirely in Saudi Arabia from 5 to 19 January 2024. Starting in the city of AlUla and finishing in Yanbu, on the Red Sea coast, the nearly 7,900-kilometre route (including 4,727 timed kilometres) includes some of Saudi Arabia’s most incredible and difficult terrain such as the Empty Quarter desert, Rub’ al Khali and Wadi Rum.

Among the more than 1,000 registered participants in the race, the Dakar Rally 2024 will see only two women participating in the motorbike category: Jane Daniels and Yael Kadshai.
