Roberta Ponziani is a name that resonates strongly in the world of women’s motorcycling. Born in Montorio al Vomano, a small town in the province of Teramo (Italy), Roberta began her adventure in the world of two wheels when she was only nine years old. Her passion for motorbikes was born by chance, when one day her family passed by a minimoto track and she wanted to try it out. From that moment on, Roberta has not stopped.

She started competing in mini-bike racing and won an Italian title in 2014, competing among the boys. When the women’s competitions were born, Roberta decided to participate in the European Championship. Over the next four years she finished third again in this 2023 behind Spain’s Beatriz Neila Santos and Natalia Rivera.

This year Roberta made history by becoming the first female Italian Speed Championship (CIV) champion by racing with Alex De Angelis’ Team Roc’n’Dea.

The 2023 season has been very intense for Roberta. She started very well with two victories at Misano, then there were some mistakes that did not allow her to play for the European title. In spite of this, she eventually won the CIV, a very beautiful, hard-fought and, above all, uncertain championship right to the end.

For the future, Roberta is considering participating in the women’s world championship. No matter what her next challenge will be, we are sure that Roberta will continue to give her all and make all motorbike enthusiasts dream.
Roberta Ponziani is an example of determination and passion. Despite difficulties and obstacles, she has always continued to fight for her dreams. Her story is a source of inspiration for all girls who want to pursue a career in motorcycling.
